Get comfortable because we’ve got tons to talk about…

For starters, I became a mom in 2022 at the age of 33. And boy was I not ready. The constant “maternal instinct will kick in” line being shoved down my throat every chance my family got was all too much. Yeah yeah yeah, “trust me, it gets easier” was also another tough pill to swallow. I want easy now. Why do I have to wait? What is this punishment?

My boyfriend has been the best partner I could ask for. I feel lucky to say my son has a very present dad. I know he’ll never hold me to it, but I definitely owe him a lot. Those endless sleepless nights will test every ounce of you…and then some. He came through for me on the days I was only able to give 10%. Hormonal Rage, PPD, over stimulation, sleep deprivation, countless skipped meals, it all adds up. Sounds like a nightmare now that I think about it. But I promise “it gets easier”. (cue the eye rolls).

I’m a firm believer in work smarter, not harder. If it can save me time, energy, space, and not hit the wallet so hard, I WANT IT. Convenience is the key that keeps this tired mama’s engine on and going. Once I was able to get passed the dark shadowy place (a.ka. the elephant graveyard), I knew I had to do what was best for me so that I could be the best version of myself for my son. Even if that meant giving him a little more screen time on certain days. OH NO, NOT THE IPAD!!! All the judgmental and perfect parents are free to go at this point. I’m here for the parents that thrive on the imperfections and don’t give a f*ck about everyone’s standards.

So what do I bring to the table? Not much if I’m being quite honest. I do however have some recommendations that helped me along the way. And if it can help you too, then great!
